The Noordhoek Tourism Photo competition is now receiving entries!! Get your cameras out and snap away: The theme this year is ‘Iconic Noordhoek’.

Competition will run from 10 July to 10th September.
Closing date for entries is 10th September 2023
Selected work will be on display at Noordhoek Art Point from 30 October to 5 November 2023.

An awards evening will be hosted at Noordhoek Art Point on 4 November 2023 at 17:30 for all participants, friends and family.

Who may enter:
Submissions are open to photographers of all ages, both professional and amateur.
Submission info and Dates:
There is a R100 submission fee per photographer unless you are under the age of 12, then it is free. This money will go to Noordhoek Tourism.

You can only enter a maximum of four photographs.
Final online submission date for applications is 10 September 2023.
All selected work must be delivered to Noordhoek Art Point on 28 October 2023.
No late submissions will be accepted.
The photographer is responsible for any delivery or collection costs.
All unsold photos to be collected from Noordhoek Art Point on 5 November 2023 before 14:00.
Noordhoek Art Point will not be held responsible for any damage to the photographs.
The copyright of all photographs exhibited remains the property of the photographer. Noordhoek Art Point and Noordhoek Tourism may share images of any exhibited work, free of charge, for the purposes of marketing and promotion.

Only original photographs taken in 2023 will be accepted.
No work can have a signature on the digitally entered photo. If your photo has been selected and you need to print it you can add your signature. This is to ensure the work is judged anonymously.
Selection Process:
Please note the judges will not know the photographers names when judging the work.
The finalists will be notified by the beginning of October and will need to print their photographs for the exhibition. They will be on display for just over a week. Please note, we will not accept any framed photographs this year. All printing must be done on paper or canvas and remain unframed. They needed to be printed on a minimum A3 size (29,7 x 42 cm) and maximum A1 Size (42 x 59,4 cm)
Pricing and Labelling:
All photographs submitted must be available for sale.
Noordhoek Art Point will take 20% commission on all sales and Noordhoek Tourism will take 10%. Please ensure that you have added the 30% commission to your price sent to the gallery.
Administration for photographs sold during the exhibition will need to be processed and payment made by month-end, November 2023.
The artist’s full name, the title of the work, the medium, and the full retail price (including commission) must be attached to the back of the photo.

PREVIOUS PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION FOR 2022
Exciting news is that the prize-giving will be held at the Noordhoek Art Point along with a Cheese & Wine evening. Winners will be chosen by 14th September 2023 and announced at the prize-giving. The winner in each category will be asked to print an A3 photograph and frame it. It will be displayed at NAP and sold for a price set by the photographer. The art gallery will get 20% of the selling price to cover costs of the evening. More information on the competition and all the T&C’s can be found on the Noordhoek Tourism website.
• Participants: Anyone can send in their photos (except the judges and their direct family).
• Number of entries: There is a limit of 10 entries per person.
• Enter your photos: Entries are only accepted via the email address photo.noordhoek@gmail.com You will be notified by email to confirm when submission is received. This can take up to 3 days.
• Subject : The photo has to be shot in or around Noordhoek.
• Photo: Photos can be black&white or colour. Editing of photos is allowed. Photo can be recent or old.
• No writing on the photos: No name/website/year/etc should be written on the photo, please send extra information like your website with the photo and we will publish that.
• Copyright: Participants must own all legal rights to submitted photos .
• Condition: Noordhoek Tourism can publish the picture on their website, Facebook page and in their newsletter.
• Winners: Decisions of the judges are final and binding.
