Noordhoek Open Gardens 2017
Spring has sprung and Noordhoek is shining with the beauty of its flora and fauna.
Noordhoek cordially invites the public to take a stroll through some of our beautiful and inspiring gardens on Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of October.
On this spectacular weekend, there will be four categories of gardens on show: Medium, large, indigenous and food.
The experience will only cost you R25 per garden, R125 per day OR a weekend entry fee of R200 for both days. All of the proceeds will go towards the On The Verge community greening project.
On The Verge is a non-profit organization that gardens the road verges in Noordhoek. Kathy Fish is the project’s driving force, and you’ll see the sign “We are on the verge today” when she and her team work every Wednesday.
The project was inspired when Kathy noticed the beautiful verges between Robertson and Ashton: “We live in paradise, and our verges were such an eyesore. I mentioned it to a friend and she said: ‘Stop talking about it and do something’.”
Bring your children along to the Noordhoek Open Gardens for free! (Under 18 years)
The gardens will be open from 10am-4pm.
Once printed, maps and information brochures will be found at local nurseries here in Noordhoek as well as on the Noordhoek Tourism website.
